Week 1 - doodle galore

Start your exploration with a basic line. Spontaneous doodling can bring a sense of calm and joy, allowing the mind to wander freely and explore creativity without judgment. It provides an emotional release, helping to process feelings and clear mental clutter.

Week 2 - mind de-clutter

Brain dumps are scribbling down random thoughts in the moment such as ideas, or emotions without structure, helping to clear mental space. This process allows for better focus and organisation later, and it's a low stress and effort activity

Week 3 - one page zine

One-page zine making focused on self involves creating a personalised zine that reflects one's thoughts, emotions, or experiences through art and writing. This workshop encourages self-expression, introspection, and creativity while providing an outlet to explore and document personal growth or challenges in a meaningful way.

Week 4 - cameraless  photography

In this workshop participants will learn how to use various photographic techniques as tools to capture fleeting moments, tell personal stories, and create visual narratives. The workshop emphasises how photography can serve as a bridge between memory and imagination, offering a creative way to explore and preserve the essence of time.

Week 5 - gel plate

The process of creating gelli prints allows artists to experiment, as each print can be an unexpected and delightful surprise. The malleable nature of the gel plate encourages a hands-on approach, inviting participants to explore various textures and materials. This freedom to play and innovate leads to a unique expression of creativity, unbounded by traditional constraints.

Week 6 - collage

Collage technique as identity mapping. Through the selection and arrangement of images, textures, and colours, participants can create a visual narrative that encapsulates different facets of their identity. This process encourages self-reflection and offers a tangible way to explore and express the complexities of one's personal journey.

Week 7 - 3d montage

Experimenting with shapes and working in a multidimensional space allows individuals to combine diverse elements like images, textures, found objects and colours. It is a continuation of the Collage, but this time there are no restrictions. The final work might take an unexpected form. The process becomes less about structure and more about discovery. This unstructured approach allows for unpredictability, enabling individuals to break free from conventional thinking. It fosters creativity and self-expression by embracing imperfections and exploring new possibilities.

Week 8 - conclusive zine

The end-of-project zines serve as a culmination of the creative journey, allowing participants to compile and reflect on their discoveries. It provides a personal archive of their artistic expressions, offering a platform to share their stories with others. Creating a zine also fosters a sense of community, as participants can exchange ideas and insights, further enriching their understanding of identity and self-expression.
